Statistical Process Control [SPC]
SPC is a collection of statistical techniques that allow an operator to efficiently identify whether improvement action needs to be taken on the process.

Process Capability [C_p, C_pk]
Capability is a numerical description of characteristic variation plus how well the process meets design target and tolerance.  This index is run together with an SPC program.  The same data that is used to check control is used to monitored capability.
